BR welding benches are designed for buttwelding rolled or flat sheet metal.

BR benches are designed and built forpracticality. All controls are located in front of the operator for easy and correct operation.

The heart of the system is the sheet support, which is made from a special copper alloy for maximum resistance to wear and tear. The sheet support includes channels for coolant and for the underside protective gas (optional for TIG/plasma welding models). Once the operator has positioned the sheet, a set of independent, pneumatically powered bronze clamps locks it in place on the support.

The (optional) welding torch is installed on the carriage, which is motor driven and complete with its own pneumatic release. The carriage moves on rectified tempered guides and a ball bearing system in order to guarantee maximum precision along the main axis. The drive system features a DC gear motor complete with encoder. Feed speed can be varied via the numerical control system, which also controls the no-wait high speed return to the zero point.

Many years of experience in the field of welding have contributed to the development of an operator interface software for the numerical control system which permits control of the following parameters: 1.sheet length;
2.start delay;
3.welding speed (multiple weld speed control);
4. fade control;
5.underside/topside protective gas control (optional);
6.intermittent welding;
7.welding program selection (when permitted by the welding power source);
8.volt/ampere control (optional);
9.cold wire control (optional);

The NC system allows the storage of up to 400 work programs (or a total of 60,000 characters). These can also be transferred to a PC via the RS232 serial port for off-line programming.

Workable welding lengths vary from 500 to 6,000 mm. BR systems can be developed for all common welding procedures (MIG, TIG, plasma, submerged arc welding).

Special solutions can be developed to meet specific requirements.
